Self-portraits are always my favorite way to really challenge myself. For this shoot, I actually reached out to my followers on Instagram and asked them to give me their weirdest prop ideas. I'd already been toying with the idea of mushrooms, so when somebody suggested them I knew I had to do it. I picked up some mushrooms at the grocery store, set up my backdrop, and gathered a few props from around the house. I took these on the dining room floor of my parent's home in Marietta and the dog was definitely looking at me like I was crazy. I felt completely ridiculous caressing the mushrooms and definitely got them in my hair, but hey anything for the photo. These are definitely on the weirder side, but I was really happy with how they came out and affectionately titled this shoot "Mushroom Fairy."
