It's been a MINUTE since I last blogged. Honestly, January brought some pretty intense burn out to me that had me cutting myself some slack when it came to photography. No regrets about taking the pressure off myself, but it did mean that the few shoots I did do didn't get as nearly as much attention as they should've.
New Moon was inspired by the paper moon photos of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. We shot these photos at the end of December and wanted them to be a celebration of the new year and give people an excuse to dress up after a year at home. The moon took a lot of work and several nights were spent creating it, but man was it worth it.
This shoot was done as a part of Beauty Does, a new organization founded by Emily Diamond (who you've seen in my photos many times) and Bekah Medford, which aims to give artists a new creative outlet during these pandemic times. We've been putting together monthly photoshoots and are very excited about all the beautiful faces that have signed up to come in front of my lens.
